Brendan Canning (b. 1969) is a founding member of Broken Social Scene and a veteran indie rock performer who has been a member of various notable bands including By Divine Right, Blurtonia, Valley of the Giants and hHead， He is of Irish descent. He is currently working on a new solo album, which will be the next release in the &Broken Social Scene Presents& series. It is to be titled &Something For All Of Us&. The first single from his solo album is titled &Hit The Wall& and was released on May 5, 2008. It is available as a free download on the Arts & Crafts website.
