Mychael Danna 麥克·唐納 出生于加拿大的Manitoba，很早就展現(xiàn)出在音樂(lè)方面的才華，兒童時(shí)期就開(kāi)始了歌唱與鋼琴方面的聯(lián)系，不過(guò)14歲那年，由于一只手受傷而終止了他的鋼琴?gòu)椬?。于是Mychael Danna開(kāi)始轉(zhuǎn)而向電子合成器方面發(fā)展。
從藝歷程：在多倫多大學(xué)取得作曲學(xué)位后，Mychael Danna開(kāi)始向電影配樂(lè)進(jìn)軍。1987年他的首部配樂(lè)是 Atom Egoyan 的《Family Viewing》，到現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)有了28部配樂(lè)作品。他的幾部為艾騰伊格言導(dǎo)演電影譜寫(xiě)配樂(lè)作品，包括《色情酒店》、《意外的春天》等，都深獲好評(píng)并榮獲加拿大電影金像獎(jiǎng)。率先使用電子樂(lè)器及南亞樂(lè)器，Mychael Danna的配樂(lè)作品極具個(gè)人特色，無(wú)論鋼琴、弦樂(lè)還是電音，曲調(diào)總是簡(jiǎn)約且清冷陰郁，特別是與多倫多Glass orchestra合作，這個(gè)全用水晶及玻璃敲擊演奏的加拿大樂(lè)團(tuán)，與配樂(lè)家Mychael Danna長(zhǎng)期合作，甚至前進(jìn)好萊塢商業(yè)電影的青睞，完成多部深具現(xiàn)代感的杰出配樂(lè)，如薇諾娜·瑞德主演的《女生向前走》。此外，他過(guò)去作品中屢屢出現(xiàn)類(lèi)似環(huán)境電音或chill-out曲風(fēng)的配樂(lè)作品，如李安《冰風(fēng)暴》及小班與葛妮絲·帕特洛定情作《當(dāng)真愛(ài)來(lái)敲門(mén)》。Mychael Danna同時(shí)也與他同為作曲家的兄弟 Jeff Danna 杰夫·唐納 一起合作出版了幾張愛(ài)爾蘭風(fēng)格的作品，如《A Celtic Tale 凱爾特神話》、《A Celtic Romance 浪漫凱爾特》受到廣泛的好評(píng)。
