Violated's story started in 2005 in ?rnsk?ldsvik, Sweden, when vocalist and guitarist Kristoffer Vistr?m decided to found a Metal band with his friends Henrik Eriksson on guitar, Patric Str?mberg on bass, Mattias Str?mberg on drums and Anton Vistr?m ..boards. The band developed their style into a melodic Death Metal direction with influences of their favourite bands.
Violated quickly wrote own songs and started heavy rehearsing, which led to the successful third place at the Swedish music competition Rockforum in 2005 when the band played their first show ever at this event, only a few months after the band was born. After this awesome happening, the band had tasted blood and was ready for more. Guitarist Henrik Eriksson left the band when they were composing new material but he was quickly replaced by talented guitarist Robert Saltehag who helped out his long-time friends who were preparing for another upcoming show.
In this line-up the band is ready to get their name marked in the Metal world. In 2006 the band recorded their first demo “Face To Face” and the second one “Translate Disorder” followed one year later. Via their website and internet promotion, the band so far got fans world wide, including Sweden, Finland, Germany, England, Spain and even the USA and Japan. Positive reactions from all around the world proved the band members that people want to see Violated's unique style live on stage in their home towns. This demand fits perfectly with the band's wish of playing live at every location.
After shooting a promo video with director Mats Lundberg of Doomfilms in August 2007, After a hard winter with song writning Violated's next step was to record three new promo songs in June 2008. With the new songs in thier setlist Violated hooked up with NOCTURNUS (US) for a tour through Europe to promote themself. Violated already gathered much live experience by opening up for bigger bands like Zonaria (Century Media) and Nocturnal Rites (Century Media).
