A California-based singer and songwriter, Holly Conlan got her start at a very young age, which is not surprising given that her father was a classical composer. Her debut 2005 LP, Holly Conlan, was followed by the EP Bird, which appeared in 2008, and was bolstered by a string of successful appearances with a band and on her own. Gigs included Los Angeles venues such as the Roxy and Tangier, as well as a performance at the CMJ Music Festival. In addition to her work as a solo artist, Conlan could also be seen making the rounds as a backing singer to such names as Meiko and Gary Jules.
