主唱兼吉他手Matt Drake及鼓手Ben Carter為高中同學(xué)，同樣喜歡金屬制品（Metallica），合組樂團以翻唱他人歌曲為主。后來加入Ben的兄弟Ol Drake當(dāng)主奏吉他手，而隨后貝斯手Mike Alexander主動加入。他們自己錄了兩張EP，All Hallows Eve以及Hell。在2006年獲得機會替Exodus的歐洲巡回開場，名聲漸漸打開，并得到Earache Records的一張合同。他們在2007年發(fā)行第一張專輯Enter the Grave。 Evile在2008年初替Megadeth的歐洲巡回開場，四月份與Exodus歐洲巡回演出，六月份參與法國的Hellfest。

Huddersfield, England's Evile are one of many new millennium bands attempting to revitalize the art of thrash metal without straying too far from its original early-'80s template. Formed in 2004, the quartet is comprised of siblings Matt (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Ol Drake (lead guitar), Mike Alexander (bass), and Ben Carter (drums), and recorded a self-produced EP entitled All Hallows Eve that same year. Several demos followed, and after being voted the U.K.'s best unsigned act by readers of Terrorizer magazine, Evile were quickly snapped up by Earache Records, releasing their debut long-player, Enter the Grave, in the fall of 2007.
