Peter Finger，1954年出生于德國(guó)的Weimar，大概5歲的時(shí)候就開始接受正統(tǒng)的小提琴以及鋼琴訓(xùn)練，這也為他打下了堅(jiān)實(shí)的音樂基礎(chǔ)，大概13歲的時(shí)候開始彈吉他,,經(jīng)過幾年刻苦的努力，19歲的Peter Finger被吉他大師Stefan Grossman(比利時(shí)原聲吉他大師Jacques Stotzem就是受Stefan Grossman影響開始彈吉他)發(fā)掘，開始發(fā)行自己的唱片，并獲得了成功，隨后便開始了自己的巡演生涯，先是在自己的祖國(guó)德國(guó)巡演，之后Peter的巡演足跡就遍步了整個(gè)世界—-美國(guó)，加拿大，日本，英國(guó)，比利時(shí)，瑞士，澳大利亞，荷蘭，盧森堡，法國(guó)，波蘭，西班牙，俄羅斯，意大利……隨著巡演的不斷增加，Peter Finger的名氣也越來(lái)越大，在歐美一些電臺(tái)，電視臺(tái)也能經(jīng)常聽到Peter Finger的音樂，甚至一些電影的原聲配樂Peter Finger也有涉及……

但Peter Finger并不是一個(gè)滿足現(xiàn)狀的大師，由于在世界范圍內(nèi)原聲吉他音樂還是屬于小眾音樂，并不象電吉他樂隊(duì)那樣受到人們的關(guān)注與重視，于是Peter Finger便開始行動(dòng)來(lái)象全歐洲，全世界推廣原聲吉他finger-style音樂，在1988年，他成立了自己的唱片公司AMR唱片公司(Acoustic Music Records)，這里多說(shuō)幾句AMR公司發(fā)行了很多非常棒的唱片，比如大家所熟知的中川砂仁的三張經(jīng)典唱片
,波蘭原聲吉他大師Tomasz Gaworek-Schodrok的經(jīng)典唱片〈on the road>,以及Open String巡演系列DVD等等……1995年P(guān)eter Finger又創(chuàng)辦了雜志〈Akustik Gitarre magazine〉……但身兼唱片公司老板的Peter Finger并沒有因?yàn)楣镜姆泵κ聞?wù)而放棄吉他，相反的依然不停的做著巡演來(lái)用自己的親身行動(dòng)來(lái)推廣指彈吉他這門藝術(shù)。by Greg Prato
Peter Finger現(xiàn)為德國(guó)AMR﹝Acoustic Music Record﹞唱片公司的負(fù)責(zé)人，執(zhí)掌各類 演奏音樂的出版，其豐富的音樂涵養(yǎng)可想而知。自幼即接觸小提琴的Peter Finger，耳濡 目染的接受了正統(tǒng)古典音樂的薰陶，培養(yǎng)了扎實(shí)的演奏根基， 隨著對(duì)現(xiàn)代音樂的接觸， Peter Finger選擇「吉他」作為他的代言者。Peter Finger擺脫了傳統(tǒng)吉他的束縛，在鋼 弦吉他上找到了屬於吉他音樂的強(qiáng)烈生命力，他自成一格的開創(chuàng)出融合爵士、古典、搖滾 及民族音樂的吉他藝術(shù)，成為近代吉他界最具代表性的大師。
Acoustic guitarist Peter Finger was born in Weimar, Germany, in 1954 (his father was a conductor). Before beginning guitar lessons at the age of 13, Finger studied both violin and piano. Since the mid-'70s, Finger has been issuing albums (1975's Detlef & Finger and Bottleneck Guitar Solos, plus 1977's Acoustic Rock Guitar), and toured the world on a regular basis, including shows in his native Germany, as well as the U.S.A., Canada, Japan, England, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Finland, Poland, Estonia, and Russia. The guitarist then branched out into other areas, including producing music for both TV, radio, and film, plus composing for orchestras. In 1988, Finger founded his own publishing company and record label (Acoustic Music Records), and in 1995, he became the publisher of Akustik Gitarre magazine. The '90s also saw further solo releases from Finger, including such titles as 1990's The Colors of the Night, 1995's Innenleben and Solo, 1999's Open Strings, and a ten-track 2001 compilation, The Collection.
