Andrea Tessa Vergara (born 1961, in Santiago) is a Chilean singer-songwriter, TV presenter and actress of Italian descent.[1] Daughter of the operatic soprano Victoria Vergara Olguín and Patricio Tessa Marchant. She studied at Scuola Italiana de Santiago. She started her musical career in 1979, singing "Decir te Quiero" in Vi?a del Mar International Song Festival, song written by Scottie Scott winning for "Best Interpreter".[2] Later was the host of the television show named "Más Música" by Canal 13 during years 1984-1992. And in 1989 debuted as an actress in the telenovela Bravo. Her first album was recorded in 1996 and was named Páginasduring the following years she recorded 3 full length studio albums: Equipaje Clandestino (2002), Tribute (2007) and the latest release 'Leaving Home' (2008) which won the prize of 'Best Album of the Year' on the 2011's APES awards .
Recently, Andrea Tessa appeared as the vocal coach of the "Italians' chorus" (Italian immigrants or descendents) in the TV show called "Todos a Coro" hosted by Rafael Araneda and Karen Doggenweiler. She and her chorus obtained the 2nd place.
