Eric Allaman是一名作曲家,主要從事電影電視配樂。With 28 films and 500 episodes of television to his credit, Eric is the epitome of the working composer.
Born in Missouri, he grew up in Southern California, and spent several summers in his mother's native Norway. Eric credits this time in the land of Ibsen, Grieg and Munch for awakening his creative calling.
At UCLA, Eric was mentored by famed composer David Raskin (Laura) and fronted a busy goth-rock band. Upon graduation, he took the route of countless artists before him and moved to Paris, then Berlin, a city still divided between East and West. Barely scraping by on solo piano gigs in stylish hotels and smoky lounges, Eric got a big break working with electronica supergroup Tangerine Dream, writers of the renowned score for Tom Cruise’s breakthrough movie, Risky Business. Eric was also commissioned to write a new score for a re-release of Battleship Potemkin, Sergei Eisenstein's epic masterpiece. The premiere was a sensation at the Berlin Film Festival, and Eric was lured back to L.A.
Since then Eric has stayed true to his classical roots by composing for theatre, opera, ballet, and piano, and has released several CD's featuring songs, piano compositions and children’s collections.
A serious surfer, Eric has traveled the globe chasing the perfect wave, from the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia, to Fiji, Peru, Ireland, and the Galapagos.
